JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS - 12 QUICK STRESS-REDUCING TRAVEL TIPS FROM LAX AIRPORT
(LOS ANGELES – Nov. 20, 2015) With a record 2.1 million passengers expected this Thanksgiving at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the airport is predicted to be the busiest in the country. Nearly a million vehicles are also expected to come through the airport’s Central Terminal Area roadways.
To take a little stress out of holiday travel at the airport – which starts this weekend and will extend through early January – LAX has put together its Top 12 Holiday Tipsfor navigating peak travel periods, exploring alternatives for getting around the airport, and how best to take advantage of the many all-new amenities that LAX has to offer.
“Holiday travel can be quite busy and often times stressful, so it’s critical for people to plan ahead,” said Mary Grady, managing director of media and public relations for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). “These travel tips will help travelers stay ahead of the crowds and ensure the best use of their time traveling to, through and from LAX.”

- #2 HARK! THE CELL PHONE WAITING LOT AWAITS. Motorists picking up holiday out-of-town guests at the airport can wait up to two hours for free until their passengers arrive and call to be picked up. The lot is located off W. 96th Street, right next to LAX Parking Lot C. Travelers can also take the "C" Shuttle to get to the Cell Phone Waiting Lot .
