CLEAR LAUNCHES AT LAX, AHEAD OF RECORD BREAKING SUMMER TRAVEL
Company Continues to Expand the Fastest, Smartest, Travel Experience at Airports Nationwide
(Los Angeles, California – June 21, 2017) CLEAR, the identity platform that transforms what is uniquely you – your fingerprints or a scan of your eyes – into a secure biometric key to friction-free experiences, is now open for business at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in Terminals 2 and 3 and coming to other terminals in the coming weeks, speeding travelers through security with just the touch of a finger or blink of an eye.
The expanding network of touch points powered by CLEAR delivers fast, secure, seamless customer experiences in and out of the airport, and the launch at LAX expands CLEAR’s nationwide footprint to 22 airports and six stadiums nationwide.
“We are thrilled to bring CLEAR to travelers at LAX. We have no doubt the VIP CLEAR experience will resonate with Los Angeles consumers and we couldn't be more excited to offer another place for our loyal members to use CLEAR,” said CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker.
“With CLEAR as an added benefit at LAX, we continue to improve the LAX guest experience by offering choices that help travelers save time,” said Los Angeles World Airports Chief Executive Officer Deborah Flint. “They will benefit from the freedom to enjoy shopping, dining options, as well as other guests amenities beyond security screening.”
A key component of the CLEAR value proposition is the hospitality-trained team members deployed to help get members through security quickly and effortlessly. CLEAR brought nearly 90 new jobs to LAX and was recently recognized by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and the Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Committee for its success in building a diverse and inclusive workforce of CLEAR ambassadors at LAX.
CLEAR is trusted by over one million members and is certified as a Qualified Anti-terrorism Technology by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. CLEAR’s three-step sign-up process takes less than five minutes – CLEAR digitally authenticates your driver’s license or passport, confirms your identity, and then creates your biometric account. New members who enroll at the airport receive a one-month free trial and can use CLEAR immediately.
