LAX GUESTS ADVISED OF PARKING STRUCTURE 4 RAMP CONSTRUCTION; LEVELS 4-5CAN BE REACHED BY WAY OF DETOUR THROUGH P-3
Only the first three levels of Parking Structure 4 will be accessible from its twoentrances during a project to rebuild the ramps to Levels 4-5. Levels 4-5 can still be reached through Parking Structure 3.
(Los Angeles, CA) Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is advising guests that a project to buildnew ramps inside Parking Structure 4 will resultin a change for accessing Levels 4-5 of the facility beginning on Monday, February 12, and continuing through the summer.
While approximately 88 parking spaces will be lost during the construction, several hundred spaces will remain availableon the top two levelsof Parking Structure 4 (P-4). Motorists will be able to access those spaces by following a detour throughP-3, and using the bridge that connects the buildings. Likewise, motorists who park onLevels 4-5 of P-4 will exitthrough P-3while the work takes place.
WhenLevels 1-3 of P-4 are full, signs will be posted at the entrances, and motorists will be diverted to other structures. From the Lower/Arrival Level, motorists can take West Way to return to P-3. On the Upper/Departure Level, motorists can park in P-5 oruse theAirport Return ramps past P-7 if they wish to park in P-3 or the top levels of P-4.
This project is part of the preparation for the construction of the 2.25-mile Automated People Mover that will connect a new Consolidated Rent-a-Car facility near La Cienega Boulevard and several other stops outside the airport to three stations inside LAX. The Automated People Mover is anticipated to be in operation in 2023.
