Hello Kitty Ready for Her Close-Up at LAX with EVA Air

(Los Angeles, CA) Today, Los Angeles World Airports and EVA Air showcased the airline'spopular Hello Kitty Hand-in-Hand Jet to a select group of social media influencers at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).From the Sanrio friends-adorned exterior to the many adorable interior touches, EVA Air flies theHello Kitty themed jet, known as "Hand in Hand,"for three of the 21 nonstop flights it operates between LAX andTaoyuan International Airport (TPE) in Taiwanon Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

“At LAX, we are always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our guests, including working with our airline partners to create unique and unforgettable experiences,” said Barbara Yamamoto, Chief Experience Officer, LAWA. “Thank you to EVA Air for working with us to showcase the hospitality and fun that can be found on the Hand-In-Hand Hello Kitty jet.”

When passengers fly on the vibrant Boeing 777-300ER, theyhave a colorful and unique experience.The exteriorof the jet is covered in Hello Kitty andSanrio friends of various sizes and shapes from nose to tail of the aircraft.When passengers check-in for their trip, the Hello Kitty experience becomes an adventurous reality.First, passengers receivethemed boarding passes and baggage stickers for their luggage.While onthe plane, the cabin crew also wears Hello Kitty Jet aprons, and passengers can use a variety of themedservice items including pillows, napkins, utensils, and hand cream, just to name a few. Today's group of California-basedsocial mediainfluencers and bloggers had theamazingopportunity toget an up close and personal tour of this one of a kind jet.The group included Hello Kitty enthusiasts, as well as aviation and travel bloggers. While on board the jet, the group captured videos and funphotos of the uniquely themed aircraft to post on their various social media pages and channels.

EVA Air launched the Hello Kitty Hand-in-Hand Jet on the Los Angelesto Taipei route in September 2013. After being rerouted inOctober 2014,it returned to LAX in March 2018.
