Ethiopian Airlines Launches First of Its Kind Nonstop Service Connecting LAX and Africa
(Los Angeles, CA) Today, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) announced that Ethiopian Airlines, the largest aviation group in Africa and a SKYTRAX certified Four Star Airline, will launch a new first-of-its-kind flight, connecting Los Angeles travelers to West Africa through Lomé-Tokoin Airport (LFW) in Togo. The inaugural flight is scheduled for December 17, 2018. With the launch of this new route, LAX will become one of only two airports in the world to serve six continents with nonstop flights, joining London-Heathrow in this distinction. LAX Unveils Its First Augmented Reality Wall

AR allows visible reality, such as that seen through a smartphone camera, to be augmented by objects or interactive imagery rendered within the guest's view. LOS ANGELES CITY COUNCIL APPROVES $2B CONRAC CONTRACT
(Los Angeles, CA) The Los Angeles City Council today voted unanimously to approve a 28-year not-to-exceed $2,028,302,301 contract with L.A. Gateway Partners (LAGP) to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain (DBFOM) the Consolidated Rent-A-Car (ConRAC) Facility at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The item previously was heard at Los Angeles City Council’s Trade, Travel and Tourism (TTT) Committee meeting on Oct. 30, where it was recommended for City Council approval.Read More...
